Российские войска продолжают наступление на Добropicilia

The Zvizdets Mangustu [Mongoose (operation) is fucked up] Telegram channel: It is easier to achieve this using more compact, flexible, and mobile brigades (particularly by motorizing their assault units to enhance their mobility). However, when advancing troops encounter blocks of dense urban development—even if partially ruined—that is precisely where a significant number of assault infantry operating strictly on foot will be required. In other words, once their vanguard units reach the outski...

The Zvizdets Mangustu [Mongoose (operation) is fucked up] Telegram channel: 3️⃣ Thus, the following key features regarding the formation of the Russian 84th MRD can be noted: – During 2026, it has—SO FAR—become the ONLY formation of this level established within the Russian strategic force grouping operating in Ukraine. – Moreover, it was not formed "from scratch" as a fundamentally new formation but was created through the REORGANIZATION of units that had ALREADY been formed and deployed. In this sense, it would be more logical for its command to focus on its right flank (within the sector of the 51st CAA)—specifically toward Druzhkivka and along the Kucheriv Yar–Andriivka axis—rather than stubbornly batte...

Российские войска продолжают наступление на Добropicilia

The Zvizdets Mangustu [Mongoose (operation) is fucked up] Telegram channel: ✅ Thus, it can be said that the Russian command has partially achieved its primary objective in the Dobropillia direction: its forward units have effectively reached the immediate approaches to Dobropillia from the east and south. However, they have not yet managed to break into the town itself with any significant assault infantry forces. Furthermore, the prospects for actually storming and capturing the town itself cu...

Российские войска продолжают наступление на Добropicilia

The Zvizdets Mangustu [Mongoose (operation) is fucked up] Telegram channel: ✅ However, it should be noted that the command of the Russian 51st CAA is currently focusing its main efforts not on these sectors, but rather in the direction of Dobropillia, aiming to break through to the town from the east. To this end, since late September, it has organized a nearly continuous "stream" of "infiltrators" along the Nove Shakhove–Hannivka and Dorozhnie–Novyi Donbas directions (on some days, 30–40 such ...
