The enemy (Russian forces) is continuing offensive operations toward the town of Dobropillia using their Group of Troops (GT) "Center," with a portion of these forces advancing toward the town of Druzhkivka. In this sector, the enemy is attacking with the main elements of the 2nd and 51st Combined Arms Armies (CAAs), as well as elements of the 41st CAA and specific units from its 90th Tank Division (TD). Currently, the main elements of their forward units have managed to reach the immediate approaches to Dobropillia from the south and east; additionally, while advancing toward Druzhkivka, they have reached the line of Sofiivka–the area south of Kucheriv Yar. Apparently, the enemy's immediate objective in this sector is to achieve a rapid breakthrough—using the main elements of their forward units—directly to the town of Dobropillia and to secure a foothold there. Simultaneously, they aim for a rapid, deep advance along the general direction of Sofiivka–Novohryhorivka, seeking to reach the southern bank of the Hruzka River (in the Novomykolaivka–Novohryhorivka sector) and the area of Krasnyi Kut–Toretske–Torske–Pavlivka (on the eastern bank of the Kazennyi Torets River). To this end, in early October, the Russian command sharply increased the frequency and intensity of offensive/assault operations within the operational zone of its 51st CAA towards the town of Dobropillia. It also stepped up "infiltration" efforts using small infantry (assault) groups on the army's right flank—along the Kazennyi Torets River—as well as within the zone of the 2nd CAA, attempting to reach the area west of Dobropillia. In turn, the AFU launched targeted counterattacks in several sectors to slow the advance of the forward elements of the Russian 51st CAA. Specifically: – Along the Sofiivka–Novomykolaivka and Sofiivka–Pavlivka directions, the enemy attempted to advance northward and northeastward using several assault groups simultaneously (totaling up to 35–37 troops). However, these attempts were unsuccessful. The majority of the assault infantry was detected in a timely manner—while still in the Toretske area—and subsequently destroyed north of that location. The remnants were "mopped up" during search-and-raid operations south of Novomykolaivka. Furthermore, the AFU launched several counterattacks in these sectors; as a result, the enemy currently maintains firm control only over the southern and southeastern districts of Sofiivka. Meanwhile, fighting for Toretske is evidently still ongoing, although small residual enemy infantry groups (comprising 3–4 personnel each) are likely present in the tree lines south of Novomykolaivka and in the area southwest of the villages of Pavlivka and Novopavlivka. – The enemy also attempted to advance from the area of quarries [48.495591, 37.267409] (south of Kucheriv Yar) and the so-called "Dachas of Vilne" area toward Zolotyi Kolodiaz and Hruzke, launching a series of assaults using infantry groups of 8–10 personnel. However, these attempts were unsuccessful. The enemy failed to advance and suffered significant losses; for instance, while repelling enemy assaults near the "Dachas of Vilne" area and north of quarries, the AFU eliminated over 30 Russian troops in a single day. In this context, it is worth noting that the Russian command stubbornly continues to move additional assault infantry forces to this specific sector via Nove Shakhove.
