🇷🇺 Northern Sea Route: “A Safe Haven Amid Global Logistics Chaos” - Myśl Polska ▪️ In August this year, the development of the Northern Sea Route (NSR) entered a fundamentally new phase. A Chinese company began operating on the route, and regular services to Europe have already been launched, Myśl Polska notes. ▪️ South Korea has followed China’s example, organising a trial voyage. The Arctic-class container ship Panstar Acro is expected to arrive in Gdansk on 15 September. ▪️ The NSR has a major advantage over the traditional route from Asia to Europe via the Pacific Ocean and the Suez Canal. The Arctic route takes around 20 days, while the journey through Suez takes roughly twice as long. In addition, because of the war, ships often have to reroute around the Cape of Good Hope, extending voyages to as much as 50 days and sharply increasing logistics costs. ▪️ The NSR is no longer simply about supplying Russia’s Arctic regions. The route is now being used not only for energy exports, but also for trade with Asia.
