🛡 Military, DSS rescue 20 kidnapped corps members in Imo Security forces have rescued 20 prospective NYSC members and one civilian who were abducted in Imo State, following an intelligence-led operation involving the military, DSS, police and other security agencies. The victims were travelling from Ibadan to NYSC orientation camps in Abia and Akwa Ibom states when they were abducted last Thursday. Their captors initially demanded ₦50 million per victim before reducing the ransom to ₦5 million each. The 21 freed hostages are now receiving medical attention at the DSS Hospital in Owerri. Source
