🇷🇺🤜🇪🇪Russia’s Coast Guard detained the Cypriot-flagged container ship Vaesterbotten in the Gulf of Finland while it was heading to the Estonian port of Sillamäe, ERR reports, citing Estonia’s Police and Border Guard Board. The vessel most likely attracted increased scrutiny because its route passed through Russian territorial waters, where it was held at anchor before resuming its voyage following an inspection. In May 2025, a similar incident occurred involving the Liberian-flagged tanker Green Admire, which departed from Estonia’s port of Sillamäe and followed the same route through Russian territorial waters. It was detained and escorted to Gogland Island, then likewise released shortly after an inspection. #info #Navy #resources
