🇷🇺🫸🇺🇦 Remember Zelensky’s threats against Russian airports and foreign airlines, promising to close Russian airspace to civilian aviation? Initially, Ukrainian forces even began putting this threat into practice, launching large numbers of drones toward operating airports in central Russia, forcing closures and flight diversions. But, as expected, the enemy’s resources and patience did not last very long. After a month of continuously monitoring Russian airports, a Ukrainian analytical project acknowledged that the idea had no prospects because the airports were not being systematically shut down. Just as before Zelensky’s threats, restrictions continue to be imposed only during UAV attacks in a particular region. The rest of the time, airports continue operating normally.
