☪️🤜🇦🇿Mass protests have erupted in Azerbaijan over a ban on hijabs in educational institutions. In October, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers approved new school-uniform requirements and banned items that “do not conform to the secular nature of education”—that is, hijabs, headscarves and the like. In Baku, parents and children angered by the decision began holding rallies, storming schools and damaging property.
