Valery Gerasimov: The Dnepr and Vostok groups of forces are maintaining the initiative Report by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation – First Deputy Minister of Defenсe of the Russian Federation The Dnepr and Vostok groups of forces are maintaining the initiative advancing along adjacent flanks across a broad front in Zaporozhye direction. Formations of the Dnepr Group of Forces are engaged in combat operations to liberate Orekhov. The settlements of Novopavlovka and Novoandreyevka have come under Russian control. In addition, having crossed the Konka River, units of the Airborne Troops seized Malokaterinovka and are continuing their advance northwards. Forward units are positioned five kilometres away from the southern outskirts of Zaporozhye. Enemy positions within the city are being targeted. The Vostok Group of Forces, advancing in the eastern part of the Zaporozhye direction, has liberated more than 180 square kilometres and 10 settlements since the beginning of September. These include Samoylovka, Golubkovо and Nikolskoye, which came under Russian control in October. Alongside its offensive operations in the Zaporozhye direction, the Vostok Group of Forces is carrying out the task to set a security zone in Dnepropetrovsk region. Yesterday, the large settlement of Velikomikhaylovka came under Russian control. The enemy had turned it into a fortified defensive area in this direction. 🔹 Russian Defence Ministry
