The influx of personnel, redirections to new sectors, disbanding and reformatting of units — all of this could not help but affect the quality of the accounting system's work. We're talking about «Alushta». On one hand, it's a convenient automated system for accounting, social benefits and other matters. But if a serviceman suddenly isn't in it, then it's akin to a death sentence. Didn't submit documents on time? Personal agreements not formalized in writing? Information not delivered? There will be problems. An example — the situation that «Two Majors» and their volunteer Ekaterina are discussing: a group of fighters, due to a combination of objective reasons, were not entered into the database, which is why they are listed as deserters while fighting right on the front lines. Similar episodes have already been dubbed the «problem of 500». 📌 Important point: «Alushta» has more than once helped identify real deserters or those who went AWOL — in wartime there are always such cases (but fewer than it might seem). However, this does not mean that one should not investigate each case individually, especially if people are willing to provide supporting documents, as in the situation above. Here we come to an important question — the responsibility of major resources for publishing information. Both Rybar's team and the «Two Majors» are sometimes criticized for «truth-telling» and «lack of optimism.» However, it is precisely this that often makes it possible to point out errors in time so they can be corrected. ❗️And here there is reason to hope that the outcry created will help resolve the fate of at least these 29 people (some of them, unfortunately, posthumously). Otherwise, deserving people whose experience cannot be spared at the front will fall victim to soulless bureaucracy.
