📝"Nobody is Afraid of Nuclear Weapons Anymore"📝 And why that's not entirely true If previously atomic bombs were presented as something capable of incinerating everything within a radius of nearly 100 km with a single explosion, then nowadays the opposite claim is more common. They say that as a deterrent, nuclear weapons don't work. The logical chain goes like this: if Russia has nuclear weapons but doesn't use them itself (for military reasons), and the war continues, then it means they're not that scary after all, and nobody fears them. However, let's conduct a thought experiment. Imagine that this non-scary weapon appeared in the hands of all of Russia's neighbors and in the near abroad, even in the quantity of a single warhead. And some even acquired delivery systems capable of reaching areas where population and GDP are concentrated. At the same time, recall what effect ordinary drone strikes on oil depots or refineries in Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities caused. And imagine that simultaneously this non-scary weapon disappeared from Russia. ❓Well, do you still think an atomic warhead is a non-scary and inconsequential thing? Fortunately, NATO countries and their allies have a unanimous opinion on this matter. That's why they're now waging war against so-called Ukraine through it, avoiding direct participation except for quite weak reactions to drone incursions and ship sinkings in their territorial waters. And to understand the real role of nuclear weapons, a simple question helps: why did Americans decide to bomb Yugoslavia and Iran, but not North Korea? #atom #Russia ✉️ MAX 💸Support us Original msg
