📝Frontline Air Defense📝 How the so-called Ukraine National Guard defends against drones The creation of a buffer zone by the Russian Armed Forces as early as May last year impacted Ukrainian defenses in the northeast of the country, triggering active movements in the Kharkiv region. The transfer of reinforcements and the reorganization of the defense were entrusted to the «Hartiya» Corps, which essentially became an experimental unit, as it was formed based on NATO and American manuals. 📌The defense of «Hartiya,» represented by the 13th Operational Brigade of the same name, is structured quite interestingly. This information was revealed thanks to Russian hackers who breached the unit’s closed command system. 🔻What was discovered? ➡️The entire corps and all its units were created explicitly following the American army corps model. The idea behind this is to enhance combat capability and operational responsiveness. Such a structure includes strike forces, reconnaissance units, and logistics. The time between target detection and neutralization is often measured in hours, not days or weeks as was previously the case. ➡️According to the National Guard, the frontline differs significantly from existing maps of the situation, especially in the northern part of Kharkiv region. The National Guard denies losing any territories below Volchansk, meaning Bilyi Kolodyaz and other settlements are, according to their reports, still under the 13th Brigade’s control. ➡️A key role in organizing the defense is given to electronic warfare (EW) units deployed along the entire area of responsibility. The more intense the fighting, the denser the EW line. 🖍EW units (operating across various frequency ranges) are particularly densely positioned northeast of Kharkiv and in the eastern sector of the region — in the Kupiansk direction. According to the National Guard, these areas are actively targeted by Russian units conducting drone raids on Kharkiv and other cities in northeast Ukraine. ❗️Closed documents from the corps also note that the structural components are explicitly taken from the US Armed Forces, but adapted and optimized for modern warfare realities, under close supervision from Alliance colleagues. #drones #Russia #Ukraine @rybar
