🇮🇱 Israel Is Developing Multilayer Protection Systems for Critical Facilities The invention is a multilayer protective screen intended to shield bridges, buildings and other important structures from missiles and munitions carrying large explosive charges, ranging from 300 kg to one tonne. The screen is positioned at a distance in front of the protected structure and consists of three layers: ▪️ First layer: spikes mounted on a grid, intended to puncture the warhead and trigger its detonation. ▪️ Second layer: angled slats that redirect gases and fragments sideways. ▪️ Third layer: composite ceramic armor plates that absorb the remaining impact. A key requirement is a gap of at least 1.5 meters between the first and third layers.
