🏳️ AFU POW: 'Russian soldiers are kind. They gave us food and even shared recipes' 💬 AFU soldier Nikolai Olifirenko got to try dishes prepared according to Russian recipes. He was taken prisoner by Russian forces after spending many months waiting for rotation on the front line. His commanders promised to replace him within a month but no enemy group could reach the position. All of them were destroyed by Russian troops: 'They said to just hold on a little longer cause a group had already gone in. We waited and waited. Then, they said the group had been destroyed and that another one would be coming soon after completing synchronisation at a training ground. We waited again but no groups came.' ▫️ Nikolai found his time in Russian captivity a positive experience. He noted that he was treated well by Russian servicemen: 'When we surrendered and were taken prisoner, they treated us well. Good people.
