Последствия атаки беспилотников на здания на Васильевском острове в Санкт-Петербурге

St. Petersburg, Vasilievsky Island after a drone strike. Who will help people with broken windows? A reader from St. Petersburg contacted the editorial office asking for attention to the consequences of the Ukrainian drone attack on the night of October 18th. On Vasilievsky Island, a building at 58 5th Line, which houses a drug addiction clinic, was damaged. A fire in the roof was reported, with shards of glass scattered around the building. Windows in neighboring buildings were damaged, including those on 8 Maly Prospekt. Broken windows were also found in a residential building near the Western High-Speed Diameter [Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD) is an intracity toll highway in St. Petersburg - ⚡️]. Hello. Yesterday's attack on St. Petersburg: two drones flew over Vasilievsky Island. One hit the Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD) bridge, and the other crashed into the 58th street at the back of Maly Prospekt and 5th Line (the drug treatment center is located there). There were no injuries, but windows in neighboring buildings were shattered. Because the authorities are stubbornly silent on Vasilievsky Island, people can't get their windows replaced quickly. They won't even accept requests. They're referring them to the management company, which has been open since Monday. On the one hand, the desire to keep the problem under wraps is understandable. Vasilievsky Island is the city center, after all. So what should people do? 🤷‍♀️ As a result, they're writing to the governor's page, on VK, calling 911, calling the emergency services... So far, nothing. Dear Majors, maybe you could highlight the problem and then things will move faster? (The Fontanka newspaper wrote about this yesterday in Telegram groups on Vasilievsky Island). In other districts, the authorities (district authorities) quickly reported, but in ours, nothing. It's going to rain soon, it's cold outside, and living without windows, especially with children, is no fun. ((( Meanwhile, in St. Petersburg's Krasnoselsky District, utility workers were already compiling lists of damaged apartments as early as October 18th, so they could prioritize repairing broken windows and restoring insulation. ✨ @llordofwar
