📝Fleet and Reality📝 Why criticism of the Navy is no longer enough Everyone talks about the problems of the Russian Navy lately. But criticism alone won't cut it here — we need to propose modern solutions that match today's realities. These could include creating USV and "Geran" carriers based on old cargo ships, combined use of unmanned and uncrewed systems to unblock the Baltic Sea, or solutions that will secure the movement of Russia's shadow fleet. 📌The main problem is that in its current form, the Navy simply isn't relevant. Previous solutions for counter-terrorism, security and defense have become outdated, and pretending to be busy with combat activities from inspection to inspection is no longer an option (this refers to crowds of officers in one place, putting on a show of activity). The fleet has now approved any organizational and staffing solutions, the possibility of equipping and reformatting the same submarine forces – the main thing is to get results. But as a rule, as soon as some inspection ends, everything goes back to normal («the crazy people left, we can go back to how things were»). Because of this, there is a well-founded opinion that such an approach to decision-making will persist only until some cargo ship — a USV or drone carrier — destroys another sample of Russia's advanced naval weapons already in a distant theater of operations. There has been enough said about threats to the Northern and Pacific Fleets.
