Lebanese security forces seized approximately 500 kilograms of explosives, comprising 250 kg of TNT and 250 kg of C4, from a vehicle traveling from the Bekaa Valley toward Beirut at the Dahr al-Baidar checkpoint earlier this week. 2 Hezbollah terrorists were arrested and transferred to Lebanese Army Military Police for interrogation. Security sources raised concerns that the explosives could have been intended for a major assassination. Justice Minister Adel Nassar says the investigation will be pursued to the end, while Judge Claude Ghanem ordered the probe continued to determine whether others were involved.
